Maryland Man Charged With Possessing, Distributing Child Porn, Sheriff Says

The investigation into the possession of child porn online led to criminal charges for a 28-year-old man in Carroll County who was later found to be distributing illicit materials, according to the sheriff's office.

Sykesville native Liam Ranario Greeley is facing a host of charges following a weeks-long probe into his activities on the Internet.

According to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, in August, an investigation was launched that resulted in a search and seizure at Greeley's home, where they recovered multiple electronic devices.

Greeley was subsequently arrested and charged with eight counts each of distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

He was held without bond at the Carroll County Detention Center after his initial appearance in front of a District Court Commissioner.
